THE BIGGEST BOWLING CENTRE IN LATVIA
WHAT IS BOWLING??
What exactly is bowling? It is a game, in which pins are placed at the distance of 18.2 metres from the foul line and must be knocked down by using a big ball. The task is made more difficult by the fact that the ball must be rolled along a lane, which is just over one metre wide. On each side of the lane there is a trench, into which the ball often tends to land, regardless, if it has been thrown by a professional or a less experienced bowler.
In short, the game is simple: There are 10 frames and in each 10 pins are placed at the end of the lane, which one must try to knock down with the first ball. If the player succeeds, it is called a strike and the player is awarded 10 points! If the player continues in such a manner throughout the game, he or she will be awarded two more balls as a bonus in the 10th frame, which will help the player to achieve 300 points in total, which is a perfect game, because in case of a strike the total of points scored for the two balls after the strike are added automatically. If one or more pins remain standing after the first ball, the player may roll another ball and, if he or she succeeds in knocking down the remaining pins, he or she is awarded a spare – a closed frame, 10 points, plus a bonus of whatever is scored with the next ball. Continuing in such a manner you will score 200 for a game, which is a very good result! Good luck to you!
This is a game that can be played either professionally or for recreation. It is played by men and women. A game enjoyed by adults and children likewise. It can be played individually or by a team. Bowling is a rather complicated sport that can be played professionally or an enjoyable recreational activity acquired easily almost in no time.
